Matariki is a time for remembrance. It calls for people to gather together to remember and honour those we have lost. As Matariki rises in the new year, Māori honour the memories of all the people who have passed, and their spirits are released to become stars.
If you can't be there in person but would like a lantern to be lit in memory of a loved one, please contact Joy on (021) 2266 164.
